MY DEBS DRESS

 With Debs season creeping up I have been getting an insane amount of messages asking about dress ( it's actually a two peice) that I wore last year for my Debs.

For years I watched the girls ahead of me in school to look at their beautiful dresses and I always thought I knew what kind of dress I wanted to wear for my Debs. But when it came down to searching for a dress I was so overwhelmed and the fear of wearing the same dress as someone else was always in my mind. My outfit was made by two different people so I will go into detail about both!

THE SKIRT

I decided it would be best for me to get my outfit custom made - I couldn't settle on a dress I liked and that way I wouldn't show up in the same dress as someone else. I came across Rene K Couture on Instagram and loved the silhouette of her dresses. Everything is handmade and can be made to order in a variation of colours and fabrics. She had also been dressing the girls from The Only Way Is Essex for events!

I chose the 'Poppy' skirt which is a long high waisted mermaid style skirt - I knew I wanted this type of silhouette but couldn't find a dress that stood out to me. When ordering this skirt I was able to pick from a range of fabrics and colour swatches to me sent out me so that I could see what is would look like in real life. I chose the Nude Scuba material. Once I was happy with my fabric choice, I sent over my measurements and the skirt was made to fit me perfectly. Rene K got so many questions about my outfit,after she reposted a photo of me, that she actually made her own version of my top and named it after me! How cute

THE TOP

I was extremely last minute when it came to choosing a top for my skirt - three weeks before my debs to be exact! It actually only arrived the day before my debs! I thought I knew what I was going to wear but then I stumbled upon @SheShea_BespokeFashion on Instagram and fell in love with her designs. She is actually a bridal desginer from Liverpool but I loved one of her dresses so much that I asked her to make me a top that was similar to the top of one  of her dresses.

Because she is a bridal designer the top set me back quite a bit but I paid for it myself and didn't care about the price tag because I just had to have it! The quality is amazing and I definitely got what I paid for. I chose the colour Pink and had little champagne gold gems scattered around for extra glam! I also had it made to my measurements and decided to opt for a semi backless look. 

 

THE DETAILS

It was so hard to find a hairpiece that wasn't completely silver but my Mam managed to find this fab Rose gold detailed one from Debenhams!  It cost around  €70 which is cheap compared to all the others I found that were around €200.

I've just noticed that the earrings in the photo below are different to the ones I actually wore! I bought two pairs and ended up deciding on the day which ones to wear. The pair I picked had more of a peachy gem which worked better than the harsh silver since I mostly wore warmer tones. Both earrings were bought from ASOS and cost around  €15 each.

I had my Makeup done by my sister Aoife of course! She always get nervous doing my makeup because she knows just how picky I am but she did a great job! My hair was done by my faves over in The Style Club on South William street. Amber looked after me and she even curled my extensions for me as I wanted a fuller look!
