JANUARY FAVOURITES

So these beauties are the products I found myself reaching for the most this past month. I wear makeup maybe three or four times a week depending on how many days I'm in work so I've had quite a few  mornings spent painting my face . Some of these products are new to my makeup collection and some others are re-purchases because I couldn't get enough of them the first time!

1.  Starting from left to right, the very first product is Nars bronzing powder in Laguna.
I tried this bronzer maybe two years ago and I loved it at the time but I'm always on the hunt for something better (what happened to 'if it ain't broke , don't fix it'?) . And while I tried and tested many other products something just brought me back to this little gem! It has the perfect undertone which isn't too warm or too cool . There are tiny flexes of glitter but they just add even more to the overall bronzey glow.

2. LILYLASHES... One word...AMAZING! These lashes are so popular with the Instagram makeup community so I thought I'd try them myself. I usually have semi-permanent eyelash extensions but these have been my go-to while I've been giving my lashes a rest.  I have the style 'Miami" and they are real mink so they can be used up to 40 times if you take proper care of them.

3. I use the Bobbi Brown foundation stick to contour my face and to add warmth. I use the shade 'Warm Almond' which is a few shades darker than my skin tone and I apply it after my foundation. Because the product itself is a foundation it just blends seamlessly into the rest of the face. I've seen this product being used in the same way on Kylie Jenner by her makeup artist Hrush Achemyan.

4. YSL Touche Eclat blurring primer. This has been my saving grace for those long work shifts or a night out on the town. This primer contains light reflecting technology which blurs pores and fine lines and it also helps your makeup last allllllll day.
I use this in conjunction with the YSL  Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation which is pictured above also. This foundation is just a dream. It's more of light-medium coverage which I prefer for day wear. It gives a healthy glow and is dewy in all of the right places without looking like an oil slick. It has a similar finish to the Geogrio Armani Luminious Silk foundation that I have used in the past.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Iconic Nude is one of my favourite lip liners for day to day use. It has this amazing creamy formula but it's completely matte at the same time.

6. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I've heard a lot about this wonderful cream and I was very eager to try it out for myself. But at  €90 a pot I was hesitant even after trying out a sample. When Christmas came along so did the CT travel sized gift sets and it was the perfect time for me to get my hands on some.  I have naturally dry skin and this cream has been so nurturing leaving my skin feeling fresh and plump.

7. Going with the pattern here we are with yet ANOTHER Charlotte Tilbury product. This time it is in the form of Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder. This literally does what it says on the tin. Your face is left looking as if there is a soft focus effect on it. LOVE.

8. The Too Faced Neutral Matte Palette is the most amazing matte palette I have ever tried. I had the Urban Decay Naked Basics Matte Palette and it was literally like dust. The U.D product showed up a completely different colour on the skin if it even stuck to your lids. BUT.. with this product I have none of those problems; the consistency is like satin, colour pay off is amazing and the eyeshadow stays all day! Thanks to my sneaky boyfriend for looking at my Christmas Gift Guide post and buying this for me (and there I was thinking I'd trained him that well to be able to pick out makeup for me).
